Useful Information


At Grange Barn the space has been carefully designed to be highly flexible so it can suit small, medium and large weddings. The capacity for the indoor ceremony area with guests sat on hay bales is 150. The capacity for your wedding breakfast is 200 people. For smaller weddings we simply set up differently because we know the right atmosphere is key.



As it is a family run business on our farm, we host 1 wedding per week and this is on a Saturday. This means that our couples have access to the venue for set up and all the fun preparations from midday on the Friday before their wedding. We kindly ask all belongings are collected by Sunday afternoon. We are lucky to have a late license at Grange Barn. Music must be off by 12.15am and guests are kindly asked to depart by 12.45am. 


Fireworks, Flames & Flowers


As Grange Barn is surrounded by farms we cannot have fireworks as these would disturb the livestock. We have lots of hay bales, wood and hessian curtains so we kindly ask no flame candles please (battery candles give the same effect!). We love flowers – the more the better for us and biodegradable confetti on the decking is also most welcome.


You are welcome to decorate the barn however you wish! Anything you see upon your visit belonging to Grange Barn (festoon lights, curtains, carts, wagon wheels, etc.) you are most welcome to use free of charge. 



We are delighted to host live bands and DJs. We ask that they hold and can provide Grange Barn with their public liability insurance and PAT certificates, and are aware of our noise limit. We have our own PA system for music during your ceremony, speeches and any background music for the reception.


We have plenty of on site parking for you and your guests. We just ask that all vehicles are collected by 11am on the Sunday.


Please see our recommended supplier list for taxis. We strongly recommend guests book in advance. 


Aside from our catering and bar partners, you are welcome to bring in any suppliers you wish. If you need any guidance, then please refer to our suppliers page to find a list of lovely suppliers who we have worked with before and who know the venue.

Tables, Chairs, etc.


Table (long vintage wooden tables) and chair hire for 150 people is included within your package. If your wedding size is over this number, then please make sure you hire in the additional tables and chairs required. We recommend Chairman Hire for this, and they have very similar tables (vintage wooden trestles) and the same chairs (wooden fold chairs). We do not have highchairs at the barn, but Chairman Hire also have these to rent. 

If you get married at Grange Barn, we have seating on hay bales for up to 150 people. 


Your caterer will include all cutlery and crockery and the bar will take care of all your glassware.
